2 Men Shatter Sliding Glass Door, Break Into Occupied Home: Police

Two suspects broke in while an elderly couple was inside, according to Palo Alto Police Department.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police are investigating a burglary at an occupied home Thursday night after two suspects broke in while an elderly couple was inside, according to Palo Alto Police Department.

Officers responded around 7:41 p.m. Thursday to the 3700 block of Corina Way after the residents, a man and woman in their 80s, reported hearing glass break.

When the woman went to investigate, she reportedly saw one man walking up the stairs and another standing near the back door. Both suspects fled after she screamed, police said.

Investigators said the suspects entered by shattering a rear sliding glass door. Nothing was reported stolen.
