Attempted Strong-arm Robbery In Palo Alto Park
Police are searching for a suspect who shoved a woman to the ground trying to rob her Wednesday. He fled on foot from Eleanor Pardee Park.

PALO ALTO, CA -- Police seek help in locating a man who pushed a woman to the ground on Wednesday night, attempting to rob her. The suspect remains at large, Palo Alto police said.
The call came in at 8:11 p.m. reporting an assault had taken place in Eleanor Pardee Park at 851 Center Dr.
The victim, a woman in her 20s, said she was walking on a path near Center Drive when she was shoved from the side. The suspect grabbed at her pants pockets while she was on the ground. She swung her arms and rolled away from him. He ran off toward Center Drive.

The woman sustained a minor injury to her ankle, declining medical attention. She described as a light-skinned male about 40 years old standing 6 feet tall with a muscular build. He was clean shaven and was wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, pants and dark shoes.
Detectives are working the case. Palo Alto police don't believe there's a connection between other recent robberies and this attempt.
