Christmas Tree Lane Returns To Palo Alto This Month
The festive Christmas decorations will be available on the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Fulton Street from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. beginning Dec. 11.
PALO ALTO, CA — Christmas lights will once again shine on Fulton Street in Palo Alto this month, with Christmas Tree Lane lights and decorations set to be turned on from Dec. 11 to Dec. 31.
The festive Christmas decorations will be available on the 1700 and 1800 blocks of Fulton Street from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. People can either walk or drive down the street.
The tradition began in 1940, when four residents on Fulton Street gathered to discuss the holiday season and decided to put up Christmas trees. Since then, residents have been steadfast in upholding the tradition, according to the event’s website.

If driving on Fulton Street, people are asked to use their parking lights instead of full headlights because Fulton Street is not a one-way street. People can enter either from Embarcadero Road or Seale Avenue.
If walking, people are asked to wear a mask and keep an eye on cars when crossing the street.
