Facebook To Hire 3,000 To Combat Facebook Live Suicides, Crimes
Breaking: CEO Mark Zuckerberg says the 3,000 will be added to a group of 4,500 monitoring the site for criminal activity.

MENLO PARK, CA — Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says he will add 3,000 people to his company's Community Operations Team to monitor the social media website for crime-related posts and videos. In a post on his page early Wednesday morning, Zuckerberg said the new hires will review the millions of reports Facebook gets every week in an effort to expedite the process of saving lives.

He says the key is to make these videos easier to report. By working with local community groups and law enforcement, Zuckerberg says he hopes Facebook can improve the reporting process so things like getting a post taken down or getting help to the people who need it will be able to happen much more quickly.
