A national news television network is reporting that a former Palo Alto resident may have joined ISIS.

PALO ALTO - A national news television network is reporting that a former Palo Alto resident may have joined ISIS.
According to an exclusive report on NBC News, Jaffrey Kahn grew up in Palo Alto, a son of divorced Pakistani immigrants.
Kahn showed no interest in religion until he made a sudden conversion and became devout, a cousin said in the report. He grew "hateful" of America, the cousin said.

According to the network report, an acquaintance of Khan, fearing the man was getting involved with jihadists, contacted the FBI, but what came of that tip is not clear.
NBC says the last their families had heard, Khan and his wife were working in a hospital in ISIS-held Raqqa and had an infant daughter.
