A 16-year-old with gang affiliations was arrested in East Palo Alto earlier this week, police said.
At 3:53 p.m. Wednesday, the East Palo Alto police, the San Mateo County Probation officers and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitations parole agents conducted a probation search at the residence of a juvenile with gang affiliations in the 2500 block of Gloria Way in East Palo Alto.
Officers located a stolen shotgun, a loaded semi-automatic handgun, an assault rifle, numerous firearm ammunition magazines and numerous cartridges of ammunition, police said.
According to police, the juvenile suspect threatened officers before being transported to juvenile hall.
The criminal prosecution of the case will be handled by the San Mateo County Juvenile District Attorney's Office, police said.
