High-End Tapas Bar Opening At El Prado Hotel In Palo Alto

The Spanish-style bar and lounge is offering patrons a 20-percent off deal for its grand opening weekend, Aug. 27-28.

PALO ALTO, CA —The renovated El Prado Hotel, the former Garden Court Hotel on Cowper Street in Palo Alto, is launching a new Spanish Tapas Bar & Lounge with grand opening festivities and discount set for Aug. 27-28.

The recently refreshed, boutique-property is celebrating its tapas venue with a 20-percent-off deal to patrons, with the purchase of a specialty cocktail, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

El Prado Hotel's refurbish in late 2021 was led by design firm Nicole Hollis, while the menu, with seasonal and regional produce, was curated by Executive Chef Enrique Michel.

Located on the hotel's second floor, the Spanish Tapas Bar & Lounge features Spanish wine, signature cocktails and such Spanish-style bites as beef and pork albondigas ($18), cheese croquettes ($16), blistered shishito peppers ($14), charcuterie board ( $19), and grass-fed beef sliders ($24). From the bar menu, guests can imbibe in signature cocktails including the Fresas del Prado, with muddled strawberries, vodka and lime, and the Penelope’s Garden made with gin,lime, rosemary-infused simple syrup, fresh cucumbers, basil and soda water.
