Police said there were no obvious signs of foul play after a man's body was found next to his car Wednesday morning in downtown Palo Alto.
PALO ALTO, CA — Police closed off a stretch of a downtown Palo Alto street Wednesday morning after a passerby saw a body lying between a parked car and the sidewalk. Investigators said the man's body was found just before 6:30 a.m. near the 600 block of Waverley Street.
In an afternoon update, police said a preliminary investigation determined the man owned the green Dodge Challenger next to where his body was found. Investigators said there were no obvious signs of foul play nor any evidence to suggest a crime had occurred.
The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner will determine how the man died and release his identity.
