Palo Alto 7-Eleven Robbery Under Investigation

The suspects are described as male juveniles, none older than 15, all of whom were wearing hooded sweatshirts and face masks, police said.

PALO ALTO, CA — Authorities are seeking the public’s help locating four suspects in connection with a Midtown neighborhood convenience store robbery late Wednesday, Palo Alto police said.

No injuries were reported.

Officers at around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday responded to the 7-Eleven store at 708 Colorado Avenue on the report that a robbery had just occurred, police said.

Officers determined that the suspects entered the store and tried to enter the cashier’s area, and that one suspect pushed and threatened to beat up an employee if he declined to cooperate, police said.

The suspects stole cash and several cartons of cigarettes and fled in a vehicle parked on Colorado Avenue just east of the driveway into the Safeway parking lot.

The vehicle was last season traveling eastbound on Colorado Avenue.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark older-model sedan with a lowered suspension.

The last time this 7-Eleven store was robbed was in December 2020.

Detectives are actively investigating last night’s case, including any possibility that the crime was connected to any incidents that may have occurred in other cities.
