Palo Alto Home Invasion Juvenile Suspects Arrested: Police
The two male teens from San Jose were taken into custody, accused of numerous offenses involving other jurisdictions and crimes.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police arrested two teenage male suspects from San Jose Wednesday on suspicion of robbing a senior in her home in midtown Palo Alto.
The two teens startled the woman in her 70s on Tuesday when they entered her home and stole personal property, the police department reported. The dispatch center received a 12:45 p.m. call of a home invasion robbery in the 900 block of Colorado Avenue.
The investigation revealed that two male suspects entered the residence by kicking in a side door to the home. The suspects demanded personal items including jewelry she was wearing and money but did not threaten her or display any weapons. She was unhurt. After they stole her personal property, they went to the garage and stole her vehicle to flee with it.

A witness reported seeing a juvenile matching the description of one of the suspects
waiting in a car while another male juvenile went door to door in the neighborhood just
minutes before the home invasion robbery occurred. Another witness observed a silver
2002 Toyota Camry speeding away from the scene. That vehicle was stolen out of San
Jose and was also connected to a residential burglary and assault with a deadly weapon on
an officer in San Jose.
The police department's Regional Auto Theft Task Force recovered the stolen Toyota Camry in San
Jose and took one of the male suspects into custody. That suspect had the vehicle keys
belonging to the Palo Alto victim in his possession. San Jose police officers also located the other
juvenile suspect in San Jose where he was accused of committing a residential burglary.

The 15- and 17-year-old male suspects were booked into the Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall, accused of robbery, burglary, elder abuse, conspiracy, and auto theft. Since they are juveniles, the suspects will not be identified.
The 15-year-old suspect is on juvenile probation out of Santa Clara County for vehicle theft, burglary, attempted carjacking, attempted robbery, assault and battery as well as possession of burglary tools.
The 17-year-old suspect is on probation out of San Jose for burglary, attempted carjacking, attempted robbery, robbery, vehicle theft and tampering with a vehicle. The older suspect was also arrested by the San Jose Police Department for residential burglary, resisting arrest and battery on an officer.
The Palo Alto victim’s white 2004 four-door Honda Civic, with a California license plate of 5JUD666, has not been found.
