Preliminary findings suggest the truck was heading westbound when it swerved across multiple lanes and left the roadway before hitting the tree. A witness reported seeing the vehicle driving erratically moments before the crash, according to police.

The roadway was closed for about two hours while officers conducted an investigation. No other vehicles were involved, and it remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
