Palo Alto Police Seek Suspects In Residential Burlgary

Dispatchers received a call at 6:15 a.m. on Saturday about a break-in that happened an hour prior on the 00 block of Crescent Drive.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police are searching for suspects involved in a residential burglary that occurred while homeowners were inside early Saturday morning, the Palo Alto Police Department announced on Monday.

Dispatchers received a call at 6:15 a.m. about a break-in that happened an hour prior on the 00 block of Crescent Drive, police report.

The caller said she was inside her home's study at 5 a.m. when she heard a loud noise and footsteps. She assumed it was the heater turning on and family members waking up.

Upon waking up at 6 a.m., the caller's husband found that a rear door's glass was broken.

When police arrived to the scene, they found that the rear door's screen door was cut through and a set of two footprints in the hallway. No valuables were taken, and police believe the suspects fled once they found someone was home.
