Palo Alto Resident Confronted By Would-Be Burglar With Knife

The resident, who lives on the 4000 block of Park Boulevard, saw a man in his backyard around 6:19 p.m., peering into a window.

PALO ALTO, CA — A Palo Alto resident was confronted by a would-be burglar with a knife on Wednesday night, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.

The resident, who lives on the 4000 block of Park Boulevard, saw a man in his backyard around 6:19 p.m., peering into a window.

The resident, a man in his 40s, confronted the prowler through his window. The suspect then brandished a small kitchen knife before fleeing northbound on Park Avenue, according to police.

The victim then called police.

The suspect is described as a white male of unknown age, about 5-foot-5 with stocky build. He was wearing all-black, and a white a face covering with an image of “monster teeth.”
