Palo Alto School Calendar 2019-20: First Day Of School And More

PALO ALTO, CA — The Palo Alto Unified School District will welcome sixth- through 12th-grade students back to school on Aug. 13 and the following day for kindergarten through fifth grade. It's either a date to dread or one to look forward to.

Either way, it's a traditional date that's instrumental in a child's development.

There is no school for students on Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday. Other significant dates include:

• Veterans Day on Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving holiday on Nov. 25 through 29
• Winter break on Dec. 23 through Jan. 7
• Last day of school on June 4
