PALO ALTO, CA — The San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority received a $1 million grant from the San Francisco Bay Restoration Authority for the Strategy to Advance Flood Protection, Ecosystems and Recreation along San Francisco Bay Project (SAFER).

The grant, announced last week, will aid in protecting 4,900 parcels from tidal flooding and sea level rise in East Palo Alto and Menlo Park, as well as 500 acres of shore area habitats.
