Peninsula Landscaper Killed By Chipper ID’d
The death is being investigated by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
MENLO PARK, CA — The man who died after falling into a chipper Tuesday afternoon has been identified as Jesus Contreras Benitez, 47 of Redwood City, the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office said.
Officers at around 12:44 p.m. Tuesday responded to the 900 block of Peggy Lane, on the report of a landscaper who fell into a chipper, the Menlo Park Police Department said.
The officers arrived to find the worker had died, according to police.
