Peninsula Woman Walking Groped By Man Who Exits Vehicle: Police

The victim said the suspect who remains at large was driving a vehicle when he hopped out to touch her body parts, according to a report.

PALO ALTO, CA — Police are looking to identify a man who jumped out of his car and sexually battered a female pedestrian. The suspect fled and remains at large.

Dispatch received a call Monday at 9:03 p.m. that indicated a sex crime had just occurred in the 1200 block of University Avenue. The preliminary investigation revealed that a male suspect driving eastbound on University Avenue stopped his vehicle at Marlowe Street and exited. He approached a woman in her 20s walking on University Avenue from behind and grabbed her breasts, buttocks and groin area over her clothing. The victim chased after the suspect, but he ran back to the vehicle he was driving and fled westbound on University Avenue.

The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic or Polynesian male between 23 to 30 years
old. He is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs around 170 pounds. He was wearing black clothing and a black hat. The suspect vehicle is a newer-model white Audi A4 sedan with no tint on the windows.
