Police: Man Exposes Himself To 13-Year-Old Girl In Palo Alto
Police say a 13-year-old girl walking her dogs was the victim of an indecent exposure Monday evening. A suspect description is given.

PALO ALTO - Palo Alto police are looking for a white man with suntanned skin who may have exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl out walking her dogs in Palo Alto on Monday night.
According to a report posted online by police, the 13-year-old was walking her two dogs Monday in the 600 block of Melville Avenue near Middlefield Road around 7:00 p.m.
Police say as the man approached the girl, he stopped and reached down to pet the dogs. When he stood back up, police say the man lifted his sweatshirt to expose himself.

Investigators say the girl quickly walked home, where she told a parent of the incident.
According to police, that parent ran outside while calling 9-1-1, and saw the man crossing Middlefield Road, eastbound, walking towards Rinconada Park.

Police say the suspect is unknown and remains at large.
According to Palo Alto Police, the girl described the suspect man as:
- white male between 25 and 30 years of age with suntanned skin.
- average height, had a skinny build, and had “scruffy” black wavy hair that went down to the bottom of his neck.
- wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt, gray and green cargo pants, and white sneakers.
- carrying a black backpack.
Palo Alto Detectives say they are investigating to determine if this incident is connected to any other cases, either in Palo Alto or surrounding communities.
Police ask to report suspicious activity immediately via 9-1-1. Palo Alto Police also want to advise parents to remind children to remain alert no matter where they are, and to tell a trusted adult immediately about anything they see that does not seem quite right.
