Woman's Purse Taken At Stanford Shopping Center In Armed Robbery
Palo Alto police said the suspect fled in a blue bicycle and reports of a gunshot fired have not been confirmed.
PALO ALTO, CA — Palo Alto police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery at the Stanford Shopping Center that occurred Tuesday afternoon.
A man in his early 20s was accused of stealing a woman's purse before fleeing on a bicycle. Witnesses told police the man may have had a toy gun because they saw an orange tip on it, according to a news release.
Reports of a gunshot fired during the incident have not been confirmed by police.

The man was described as wearing a dark sweater and dark shorts, and had curly hair. He fled in a blue bicycle and is believed to have left the shopping center.
Officers are searching for the man. No stores at the shopping center are locked down.
