PowerBall Jackpot Hits $425 million

The next Powerball drawing will be held on August 7. What would you do if you won?

After a long string of drawings without a winner, the Powerball jackpot has increased to $425 million, making it the fourth-largest U.S. jackpot.

The prize has a $244.7 million cash option. The next drawing will be held Wednesday, Aug. 7.

During last Saturday's drawing, a Milpitas woman Lea Yaneza won $1,159,103 in prize money.

"I checked the website and at first I thought I matched three numbers. I was jumping up and down, then I realized I matched five," Yaneza said. "I checked over and over, I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing."

Yaneza plans to pay for her kids' educations and buy herself a house.
