Santa Clara County Rolls Out New COVID-19 Dashboard
Statistics via the dashboard are available in five languages.
A redesigned COVID-19 data dashboard aims to give Santa Clara County residents a clearer picture of the new coronavirus' impact in the region.
The redesigned dashboard, announced Tuesday, includes large swaths of data including demographics and health outcomes of people sick with COVID-19.
The dashboard is divided into different data sets, and users can now view individual pages with information on case totals, demographic information, cases by ZIP code, hospital availability, COVID-19 testing totals and long-term care facility case counts.

In a release, the county said data on hospitalized patients is now gleaned from internal polling at individual hospitals instead of from the California Department of Public Health.
Further, the dashboard now represents the total number of tests instead of the number of individuals tested.

According to the release, suspected cases of COVID-19 are now reported separately from confirmed cases with a positive test result.
The county said the goal of the redesigned dashboard is offer residents a more user-friendly source of information that's easy to navigate.
