South Bay Condo Fire Displaces 2

BREAKING: Two residents of a condominium complex were displaced on Feb. 5 following a two-alarm fire.

SOUTH BAY, CA -- Two people have been displaced from their home following a two-alarm fire at a condominium building in Los Gatos on the evening of Feb. 5, a Santa Clara County Fire Department spokesman said.

The fire was first reported at 6:15 p.m. Sunday evening at a two-story, four-unit building in the 100 block of College Terrace, spokesman Capt. Bill Murphy said. Firefighters requested a second alarm because of the threat to other units, Murphy said.

Everyone from all units evacuated safely, and crews had the fire contained at 7:23 p.m.

No one was injured and the only unit uninhabitable is where the fire occurred, according to fire officials.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
