Stanford Rape Suspect Sought: Cops

STANFORD, CA — Police at Stanford University are investigating after a woman reported she was raped Tuesday in a restroom on the campus.
An alert about the sexual assault report was sent out by the Stanford Department of Public Safety on Tuesday evening.
The woman said that she was at a parking lot near Wilbur Hall about 5 p.m., when she was grabbed by a male suspect, taken to a restroom and assaulted.

The woman said she had seen the man on campus before, but a detailed description of the suspect was not available.
Police said the victim isn't ready yet to talk with law enforcement about the attack. Patrols have been stepped up in the area, authorities said.

Anyone who was in the area of Wilbur Hall is asked to contact Stanford police at (650) 723-9633 if they have information about the attack.
Information could include photos or video taken around the Wilbur dormitories, especially areas where vehicles park, as well as personal observations about activity taking place in the area around 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
