2 Trapped, Rescued From Cave Along Palos Verdes Peninsula: Report
Two people were trapped in a cave along the coast of the Palos Verdes Peninsula as the tide rose Thursday afternoon, according to reports.
PALOS VERDES, CA — Two people were trapped in a cave along the coast of the Palos Verdes Peninsula as the tide rose Thursday afternoon, according to reports from KTLA.
According to KTLA, the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to Terranea Cave, next to the Terranea Resort, at about 1 p.m. The pair said they found themselves trapped after the rising tide blocked their way out of the cave.
Fire crews, Los Angeles County Lifeguards and Cabrillo Baywatch all responded to the scene and were able to recuse both people by surfboard and bring them back to shore.

It's unknown how long the pair were trapped, but authorities said there were no injuries.
