Boat Runs Aground At Pelican Cove In Rancho Palos Verdes

RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — Rescue crews were called Monday to Pelican Cove in Ranchos Palos Verdes, where a 15- to -20-foot metal boat ran aground.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded at 10:06 a.m. to the area between Terranea Resort and Point Vicente. A call for a dive team and a helicopter were canceled after a person who did not require medical transport was located on the beach, according to a county fire spokesperson.

Around 10:30 a.m., deputies from the sheriff's Lomita Station were requested, but it was unclear why. No immediate injuries were reported.
