Candidates Pull Papers for November Elections
Here are some things to look forward to today on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Good morning, Palos Verdes! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know today:
- We're in the middle of the filing period for the Nov. 5 elections for the city councils of Rancho Palos Verdes and Rolling Hills Estates, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education and the Palos Verdes Library District Board of Trustees. The filing period ends Aug. 9, unless an incumbent fails to file, in which case the deadline is moved to Aug. 15.
- The three incumbents for the PVPUSD Board of Education have pulled papers to run for re-election, according to LAvote.net. Only one person—not an incumbent—has pulled papers to run for election for the PVLD Board of Trustees. There are two spots available.
