PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Station crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

BURGLARY

  • Vehicle - Sept. 17, 2023 - 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. - 30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
    • Cash and credit cards were reported stolen from a car with the windows partially left open, deputies said. No suspect information was available.
  • Vehicle - Sept. 16-17, 2023 - 8 p.m to 7:40 a.m. - 26000 block of Basswood Avenue
    • Cash and credit cards were reported stolen from a vehicle with its windows partially open, deputies said. No suspect information was available.
  • Vehicle - Sept. 19, 2023 - 3:40 p.m. to 4 p.m. - 28000 block of Western Avenue
    • A purse with cash inside was missing from inside a car. According to authorities, the read window on the driver's side was shattered. No suspect information was available.
  • Attempt - Sept. 18, 2023 - 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. - 5900 block of Armaga Spring Road
    • Pry marks were discovered on the door of a business leading authorities to believe there was a burglary attempt. Nothing in the store was stolen and no suspect information was available.
  • Business- Sept. 20, 2023 - 2:26 a.m. - 28000 block of Western Avenue
    • One person was arrested after trying to steal cash from a business, deputies said. The suspect got entry into the store through a smashed window, according to authorities.
  • Residential- Sept. 22, 2023 - 8 a.m. to 9:20 p.m. - 1800 block of Trudie Drive
    • The rear sliding glass door of a home was shattered, but nothing was reported stolen from the residence. No suspect information was available.

  • Auto- Sept. 17-18, 2023 - 12 a.m. to 9 a.m. - 6000 block of Via Sonoma
    • A black 2020 Mercedes 560 S-Class was reported stolen.
  • Bike - Sept. 23-24, 2023 - 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. - 5700 block of Revnespur Drive
    • A bike rack was reported stolen according to authorities. No suspect information was available.

PETTY THEFT

  • Phone - Sept. 23, 2023 - 10 a.m. - 29000 block of Palos Verdes Drive East
    • A cellphone was reported stolen, deputies said. No additional information aboutthe incident or any suspects was available.

  • Residential - Sept. 15-17, 2023 - 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. - Williamsburg Lane
    • Jewelry was stolen from a home according to authorities. Deputies said the window in the master bedroom was shattered. No suspect information was available.

SHOPLIFTING

  • Clothing - Sept. 18, 2023 - 11:41 a.m. to 1:14 p.m. - Peninsula Center
    • Clothing was reported stolen from an open store according to the Sheriff's Station. The suspect was described as a bald Black man in his 40s who was wearing a white shirt, black shorts and black shoes.

BURGLARY

  • Vehicle - Sept. 22, 2023 - 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. - 2500 block of Hawthorne Boulevard
    • A fanny pack with multiple credit cards inside was taken from a car. According to authorities, the driver's side door handle was damaged. No suspect information was available.

PETTY THEFT

  • Mail - Sept. 19-23, 2023 - 11 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. - 2700 block of Conestoga Drive
    • A package was stolen from a residence authorities said. No additional information about the incident or any suspects was available.
