Low-Cost Pet Vaccination and Microchip Clinic Planned in RPV Park

A low-cost pet clinic will be held on Sunday, Oct. 12 in the upper picnic area at Hesse Park, located at 29301 Hawthorne Blvd. in Rancho Palos Verdes.

Cat owners should come between noon and 12:30 p.m. if possible and dog owners from 12:30-2 p.m. Pet owners must be at least 18 years of age to participate. All pets must be on leashes or in carriers, and only healthy and non-pregnant animals will be vaccinated.

Also, please bring the license tag, license renewal notice or prior rabies certificate to receive a three-year rabies vaccine for your dog; otherwise the rabies vaccine will be good for only one year. Please bring vaccine records if possible.

The Society for California Veterinary Vaccine Care (www.scvvc.webs.com) will administer low-cost vaccinations and provide microchip and de-worming services for cats and dogs. Please bring CASH ONLY for all veterinary services.

Pet owners may renew or apply for a new dog license via the internet at any time by visiting the LA County Animal Care and Control website at www.animalcare.lacounty.gov.
