RANCHO PALOS VERDES, CA — A minor was arrested on suspicion of car theft and possession of a ghost gun in Rancho Palos Verdes Thursday night, according to the Lomita Sheriff's Station.

According to authorities, a deputy attempted to conduct a "high-risk" traffic stop on a car parked along Palos Verdes Drive South after finding out the car was stolen in Los Angeles the day prior. Deputies said the vehicle fled without its headlights on in the fog instead of stopping.

"Our suspect quickly discovered the utility of headlights on dark, foggy nights, when he immediately high centered the stolen vehicle on a median 40 feet away, before deputies could even shift their radio car into drive," officials said on Facebook.
