Monday Essentials: $3.10 Burgers at Ruby's

Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know this week:

1. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education will meet Monday at 8 a.m. According to the online agenda, the meeting will be primarily a closed session.
2. PVP Transit buses will only run on Lines 225/226 from Monday through Aug. 27, according to the Palos Verdes Peninsula Transit Authority.
3. In honor of the restaurant's 31st anniversary, Ruby's Diner will be selling its new "NEXT GEN" burger for only $3.10 on Monday. There is a Ruby's Diner in the Promenade on the Peninsula in Rolling Hills Estates.
