Monday Essentials: City Council, Trail Closure

Here are some things to look forward to this week on the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know this week:

  1. There are two city council meetings this week. The Rolling Hills City Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, while the Palos Verdes Estates City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meetings will be at the cities' respective city halls. The Rolling Hills Estates City Council meeting for this week has been canceled.

  2. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education will meet twice this week. The first will take place at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and will primarily be a closed session focused on the appointment of several new principals, according to the online agenda. The second meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. That agenda is also available online. Both will take place at the PVPUSD headquarters, located at 375 Via Almar in Palos Verdes Estates.
  3. The Botanic Garden Trail in Rolling Hills Estates will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to a television shoot. The production company advised residents last week that there will be simulated gunfire and explosions.
