Need To File Your Taxes? This South Bay Foundation Can Help

The AARP Tax-Aid Southbay is helping people file their taxes through April 15.

PALOS VERDES, CA — This South Bay foundation is helping streamline the tax process for anyone looking to file their taxes before April 15.

On Friday, April 11, the AARP Tax-Aide Southbay will be helping low- to moderate-income residents file their federal and state income taxes in Rancho Palos Verdes.

The free services take place from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Hesse Park's McTaggart Hall, located at 29301 Hawthorne Blvd. in Rancho Palos Verdes. An AARP membership is not required.

AARP Tax-Aide Southbay is also offering aid Monday in San Pedro and Tuesday at El Segundo. The Torrance site will be open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The foundation recommends making an appointment for the Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro and El Segundo sites. If time allows it, walk-ins will be accepted. However, no appointment will be necessary at The Torrance site.

South Bay residents who can't make it to these events before April 15 can still relax for the next few months as the IRS extended the filing deadline for Los Angeles County taxpayers to Oct. 15 due to the January wildfires.
