REDONDO BEACH, CA — "Snow" gently fell on the King Harbor Marina right before the sun set Friday, as Shade Hotel Redondo Beach welcomed the season with its annual tree lighting ceremony.

The Redondo Beach High School choir serenaded the audience with holiday songs, and visitors took delight in the event's free hot cocoa and s'mores.

With a bubble snow machine blowing from the hotel's second floor, children frolicked about in the "snow."
