Parents Upset Over Large Class Sizes at Dapplegray
Despite an increase in school funding this year, fourth-grade class sizes at Dapplegray Elementary are larger than average.
Parents of fourth-graders at Dapplegray Elementary School in Rolling Hills Estates are unhappy about the large class sizes for the 2013-2014 school year, according to a report in the Daily Breeze.
For now, the classes at the school will have 36 students each to avoid creating a fourth- and fifth-grade combination class, Principal Fred London told the Daily Breeze.
The average number of students in a fourth-grade class in the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District is 32.
