Happy Thursday! Here are five things Palos Verdes residents should know today:

Challenger Ken Dyda, a former councilman, has filed papers to run for Rancho Palos Verdes City Council, according to the Palos Verdes Peninsula News. Current councilmen Brian Campbell and Anthony Misetich have already filed for re-election.
Road work is scheduled for today on the slide area of Palos Verdes Drive South in Rancho Palos Verdes.
