PALOS VERDES, CA — The following is the most recent Lomita Sheriff's Station crime blotter for the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

Rancho Palos Verdes

BURGLARY

  • Vehicle - Aug. 27, 2023 - 11:04 a.m. to 12:13 p.m. - 31000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • A wallet, credit cards, California driver's licenses, glasses, US cash and Mexican Pesos were reported stolen from a car. According to authorities, the driver's side keyhole was damaged. No suspect information was available.
  • Vehicle - Aug. 29, 2023 - 11:55 a.m. - 31000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • A purse containing credit and debit cards as well as a driver's license was reported stolen from a car. Sheriff's station deputies said they found the driver's side door handle lock damaged. There was no suspect information provided.
  • Vehicle- Aug. 29, 2023 - 11:55 a.m. - 31000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
    • Sunglasses, cash, credit cards and a charger were reported stolen from a car, authorities said. Sheriff's Station deputies said they found the driver's side door handle lock damaged. There was no suspect information provided.
  • Residential - Aug. 31 to Sept. 1, 2023 - 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. - 30000 block Cartier Drive
    • The garage door of a home was left open, leaving thieves an opportunity to make off with some of its contents, authorities said. The sheriff's station said luggage, clothing, shoes, a laptop, a wallet, credit cards, cash, a driver's license, a gift card and insurance cards were reported stolen. No information about any suspects were available.

  • Catalytic Converter - Aug. 31 to Sept. 1, 2023 - 4 p.m. and 9 a.m. - 28000 Mount Sawtooth Drive
    • A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle, deputies said. No suspect information was available.

Rolling Hills Estates

ATTEMPT BURGLARY

  • Residential - Aug. 28, 2023 - 9:28 p.m. - Santa Cruz
    • The rear sliding glass door of a home was smashed in an attempt to commit burglary, but nothing was stolen according to deputies. The suspect was described as a man who wore a black hoodie with a white logo on it as well as blue gloves, long black pants, white socks and black shoes.

  • Bicycle - Aug. 29 - 30, 2023 - 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. - Peninsula Center
    • A bicycle was reported stolen from the Peninsula Center, deputies said. No suspect information was available.
