Video Shows DUI Suspect Driving Over Beach Stairs In South Bay
Security footage posted by police shows the driver speeding through an intersection at Knob Hill Avenue and Esplanade.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — New footage posted by the Redondo Beach Police Department over the weekend shows the moment a suspected DUI driver sped down a beach staircase, crashing halfway down.
The video, which was posted on social media by Redondo Beach police as part of a public service announcement, shows the driver of a white BMW speeding through an intersection at Knob Hill Avenue and Esplanade on the night of March 25.
Photos posted in the video show the damaged car after it came to a stop at the halfway landing of the staircase. A crane can also be seen pulling the car back to the top of the staircase.

Two women were injured in the crash and are in stable condition, according to Redondo Beach police. It's unclear whether any arrests have been made.
"Do not drink and drive," the video states. "Drinking alcohol causes poor decision-making and slow reaction time, leading to dangerous situations."
