Voter Registration Deadline Nears for March Election

Register now to vote in the upcoming special municipal election on March 8.

Rancho Palos Verdes residents have one week to register to vote in a special municipal election that will determine if the proposed city charter be adopted to change the city from a general law city to a charter city.

The last day to register to vote on Measure C is Feb. 22. The vote takes place March 8. Residents will need to re-register if they have moved to a new address, changed names, or changed political party affiliation. Voter registration forms can be picked up at , the Post Office, and the library.

For those voting by mail, a written request must be submitted to the City of Los Angeles, City Clerk-Election Division for a ballot no later than seven days prior to the election day, by March 1.

Visit the City of Los Angeles, City Clerk-Election Division website to complete the application for a vote-by-mail ballot.

Use the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s website to locate polling places. Also contact the Rancho Palos Verdes City Clerk’s Office at 310- 544-5217 or 310-544-5208 for assistance in locating polling places.

Residents can vote at Rancho Palos Verdes in the Community Room.

Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
