4th Annual 'Taste of South Lake' Festival Coming in October

The festival celebrating the food and wine of South Lake Avenue returns next month for its fourth go-around.

The food and drink offerings of South Lake Avenue restaurants and businesses will be on full display when the 4th annual "Taste of South Lake" festival kicks off next month.

Slated for Oct. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the free festival will feature samples of the dishes and drinks from 20 different South Lake establishments in addition to cooking demonstrations and live music.

"We thought this was a great way to showcase the avenue," said Gina Tleel, who organizes the event as the executive director of the South Lake Business Association. "It's just a fun way to market and promote the area."
