Council Looking to Fill District 3 Vacancy
Five candidates are looking to fill the position left open by newly elected Assemblymember Chris Holden.

The Pasadena City Council will conduct interviews with five candidates for the open seat on the District 3 council during a special meeting 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22.
The meeting will be in the Council Chamber at City Hall, 100 N. Garfield Ave., Room S249.
The appointment is to fill the seat left open when Councilmember Chris Holden resigned from his position Nov. 30 to assume his duties as a member of the California State Assembly representing the 41st District.

The successful candidate for the vacant District 3 council seat will assume office May 6.
The candidates for the position are Joel Bryant, Brian Carmody, Sharon Graham Higuera, Tarek Shawky and Craig Washington.
