Lake Avenue to Display Original Art by Congregation Members

The church counts several artists, painters, writers and directors as members of its congregation.

Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena will celebrate the arts by displaying dozens of original works by members of its congregation. The display can be viewed before the 6 p.m. service Feb. 23 in the Family Life 300 Room or in the lobby of the Worship Center before and after the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services Feb. 24.

"From the beginning we have seen artists driving creativity in every area of life, finding myriad ways to communicate and pursue beauty. We look forward to blessing that creativity and the artists who are so uniquely gifted to lead us in this pursuit," Interim Executive Pastor Scott White said. "Join us to celebrate the arts in a special way."

The church counts several artists, painters, writers, dancers, singers and directors as members of its congregation. Everyone involved in creative arts will be asked to stand as the congregation prays for them during the worship services.
