PASADENA, CA — How city officials should respond to a shooting involving the Pasadena Police Department will be a topic of discussion during the Public Safety Committee's meeting on Wednesday, the Pasadena Star-News reported.

City leaders have faced repeated calls from residents, and even Councilman Tyron Hampton, to discuss the city’s policies related to shootings with regards to the police department’s protocols, according to the Star-News.

Calls for a discussion by officials began following the death of 32-year-old Anthony McClain, who was fatally shot by a Pasadena police officer in August 2020.
