Pasadena Unified Teachers Receive $42K in Grants
The grants will be used for school projects that aid in student achievement.

Coming back from winter break, 66 Pasadena Unified School District teachers will receive over $42,000 in grants from the Pasadena Educational Foundation. The grants are part of the PEF’s Teacher Grant program and the recipients will be honored at a reception 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14 at the Western Justice Center, 55 South Grand Ave.
For over 40 years since its inception in 1971, PEF has awarded over $1 million to PUSD teachers and principals. Applicants submit proposals for student-centered projects relating to curriculum and student achievement. The grant has been responsible in funding needed classroom supplies and instructional materials. This year, the grants will go toward projects such as classroom library books, school gardens and science Olympiads.
Grants were made possible by donor contributions to the Pasadena Educational Foundation.
