Arrest Made in Christmas Day Bike Theft (outlooknewspapers.com) — A Los Angeles man was arrested after South Pasadena police linked him to the Christmas Day theft of two electric bikes on Monterey Road, later recovered and returned. He was booked into Pasadena City Jail and scheduled for arraignment in Pasadena Superior Court, and investigators are still seeking additional information from the public.
   

2. Altadena One Year Later: Bishop Needs $2 Million to Rebuild Local Church After Historic Wildfire (bet.com) — One year after the Eaton Fire, a historically Black Altadena congregation within Pasadena is still $2 million short of rebuilding its destroyed Lifeline Fellowship Christian Center. Bishop Charles Dorsey describes the emotional toll, ongoing worship at a borrowed Pasadena campus, and continued community outreach as they navigate red tape and aim to reopen by 2027.
   

3. All-CIF Southern Section football teams for 2025 (pasadenastarnews.com) — Pasadena and South Pasadena high school football standouts earned spots on the official 2025 All-CIF Southern Section teams, highlighting local talent on a major regional stage. Pasadena’s Kyle Robertson and South Pasadena’s Trey Freking headline a long list of honorees from schools across Southern California, recognizing top performers and coaches in every division.
   

4. Spirit of the Tiger at 2026 Rose Bowl Parade (washingtoncounty.news) — Two Florida high school musicians recently spent ten days in Pasadena rehearsing and performing with the Bands of America Honor Band in the 2026 Rose Parade. Their trip for the Rose Bowl festivities highlights how Pasadena’s signature New Year’s celebration draws dedicated young performers from across the country to its nationally televised parade route.
