PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Police Department advised of two traffic delays anticipated Friday.

D Street Bridge Openings

The first was for the D Street Bridge, which was scheduled to open twice between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday. The bridge opening is related to the Turning Basin Replacement project which is in full swing. The contractor was expected to move equipment out of the Petaluma River on Friday, requiring the opening of the bridge.

"Please plan to use alternate routes as we anticipate increased traffic in the area with delays of up to 25 minutes with each bridge opening," police said.
