Bicyclist Killed In Petaluma Hit-And-Run
Police are searching for a motorist involved in a hit-and-run this weekend in Petaluma that killed a cyclist.
PETALUMA, CA — A man riding his bicycle in the Petaluma area was believed to have been the victim of a fatal hit-and-run collision sometime late Friday or early Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP received a call about an unresponsive bicyclist at about 9:30 a.m. at Rainsville Road near Stony Point Road, which is at the city limits of Petaluma and unincorporated Sonoma County.
The bicyclist was declared dead at the scene, according to a statement from the CHP on Facebook.
CHP said evidence pointed to a collision involving a vehicle that left the scene.
