The Petaluma Downtown Association announced the Good Egg Award recipients and the Grand Marshal for the 2023 Butter and Egg Days Parade.

PETALUMA, CA — The Petaluma Downtown Association in a newsletter Thursday announced the recipients of this year's Good Egg Award are Mitch and Barbara Lind of Lind Marine.
The annual award is presented ahead of Butter and Egg Days to one or more locals with a strong connection to Petaluma and a dedicated track record of promoting its rich identity, river town history, and varied, ever-shifting culture.
Chosen by past Good Egg nominees, this year's honor goes to the Linds, "whose community involvement and philanthropic efforts over the last 52 years are legendary. A true legacy company, Lind Marine has provided dredge, barge, and tug services throughout the San Francisco Bay and Delta for well over 100 years," the Petaluma Downtown Association said.

Each year, a Grand Marshal is selected to lead the Butter & Egg Days Parade.
"This year, in keeping with the parade’s home-related theme, the Grand Marshals will be volunteers and staff of Petaluma’s Rebuilding Together nonprofit who have created and renovated homes for Petaluma seniors, disabled persons, and families for the past 25 years," the Petaluma Downtown Association announced.
Opening Ceremonies
This year's Good Eggs and Grand Marshals will be officially honored during the Butter & Egg Days Opening Ceremonies from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15 at the Petaluma Historical Library and Museum.
Petaluma Mayor Kevin McDonnell will read a proclamation honoring the Grand Marshals and Good Eggs.

The theme this year for Butter and Egg Days is "There’s No Place Like Home," which celebrates the Parade’s 40th Ruby Jubilee. Complete Butter and Egg Days event information is posted here on the Petaluma Downtown Association's website.
