Man Arrested in Petaluma For Loaded, Unsecured Glock In His Vehicle
A man was arrested in Petaluma for having a concealed 45-caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol.
PETALUMA, CA — A man was arrested in Petaluma on Saturday for allegedly being in possession of loaded firearm in his vehicle, police said.
Just after 3 p.m., a Petaluma officer pulled over a vehicle without a front license plate.
According to police, the 21-year-old driver consented to a search of his car, which allegedly uncovered a 45-caliber Glock semi-automatic pistol underneath the passenger seat.

Though the gun was registered to the driver, it was loaded and not secured. The driver was arrested for having a concealed handgun.
The Petaluma Police Department would like to remind the public that any handgun that is transported in a vehicle must be unloaded and secured in the vehicle's trunk or in a locked container.

In addition to the handgun being unloaded, the ammunition must be stored away from the handgun.
