Petaluma-Based Lagunitas Sells Remaining Stake To Heineken
Breaking: The brewery sold the first half of itself to Heineken last year.

PETALUMA, CA — In a rather lengthy — and oddly biblical — post on its Tumblr site, Petaluma-based Lagunitas Brewing announced it had officially handed over the remaining 50 percent stake to Dutch beer giant Heineken.
Tony Magee, the brewery's founder, made the post on Thursday. "Today we’re announcing our decision to connect Lagunitas completely with Heineken," the post states. Magee then went on to offer up some rationale behind his decision:
"You hafta imagine Jonah standing on the gunnel of the storm-tossed ship and intentionally leaping into the mouth of the whale to embrace the transformation and emerge to become his own destiny."
