Petaluma Drivers Arrested In 2 Separate Vehicle Pursuits

Police arrested two people in separate pursuits last week, after evading officers in Petaluma.

PETALUMA, CA — Petaluma police arrested two people in separate vehicle chase incidents, in which drivers attempted to flee officers last week, authorities said.

The first incident was reported on Nov. 16 near Casa Grande High School, when a driver sped past an officer traveling at speeds around 80 mph in a 30 mph zone by Casta Grande High School, the Petaluma Police Department said in a statement.

Police found the vehicle on Wren Lane.

Miguel Angel Ramirez Saucedo, 18, was accused of driving the fleeing vehicle.

Another vehicle pursuit that took place the following day, on Nov. 17. Officers attempted to make a stop due to the vehicle's expired registration, police said.

In connection with that chase, police arrested Novato resident Starsha S. Develder, 35. Develder is accused of leading officers on a chase on Highway 101. The pursuit ended on the 6000 block of Redwood Drive, where Develder was taken into custody.
